2017 Championship Erica Shepherd, 16, of Greenwood, Ind., became the first left-handed champion in U.S. Girls' Junior history with her 3-and-2 triumph over Jennifer Chang in the 36-hole final match at Boone Valley Golf Club in Augusta, Mo. Shepherd joined her mentor, 1998 champion Leigh Anne Hardin Creavy, on the Glenna Collett Vare Trophy.
