Far Hills, N.J. – Holiday shoppers looking for the perfect gift for the golfer on their list can take advantage of a special opportunity courtesy of the United States Golf Association when they purchase tickets for the 2012 U.S. Open Championship, to be played June 11-17 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif.
Beginning Nov. 1, 2011, the USGA will mail a free 2012 U.S. Open divot repair tool gift set to anyone who purchases tickets by Jan. 2, 2012. Those who purchase tickets on or before Dec. 7 will receive free personalization of their divot repair tool gift set. Limited tickets and packages are available, starting at $50 daily and $450 weekly, respectively.
Tickets will be mailed in early May 2012. The divot repair tool gift set will be mailed two to three weeks after the order is processed.

Each buyer is permitted to purchase up to four tickets for each day while supplies last. All tickets include free public parking and shuttle transportation to and from the parking area and the championship entrance.
Juniors age 12 and under will be admitted free of charge any day when accompanied by an adult ticket holder. Tickets for juniors age 13 to 17 will be available for purchase at a reduced rate of $15 for practice rounds and $35 for championship rounds. Junior tickets are always available on-site at will call and at all admission gates during the championship. There is a maximum of two junior tickets per one adult ticket holder. Junior tickets permit Trophy Club access only when accompanied by an adult Trophy Club ticket holder. Junior tickets do not permit 1895 Club access.
The 2012 U.S. Open Championship will mark the fifth time the championship has been played on the Lake Course at The Olympic Club, and the first time in 14 years. Past U.S. Open winners at Olympic are Lee Janzen (defeated Payne Stewart by one stroke in 1998), Scott Simpson (defeated Tom Watson by one stroke in 1987), Billy Casper (defeated Arnold Palmer in an 18-hole playoff in 1966) and Jack Fleck (defeated Ben Hogan in an 18-hole playoff in 1955).
The U.S. Open has sold out for 25 consecutive years, and the 2012 championship promises to be no exception.
