Russ Cochran withdrew from the 2012 U.S. Senior Open Championship on Saturday because of a back injury.
Cochran, the 2011 Senior British Open champion, was tied for 32nd heading into the third round of the U.S. Senior Open with a 36-hole score of 141. He shot rounds of 68 and 73.
Cochran was scheduled to tee off at 11 a.m. EDT on Saturday from the first tee with Kiyoshi Murota.
