USGA Sets Late July Dates for WATC Automatic Selections

The highest-ranked American female and highest-ranked American male in the World Amateur Golf Rankings ®/WAGR® as of July 20 and July 27, respectively, will receive automatic exemptions from the USGA onto the USA Teams for the 2022 Women's World Amateur Team Championship and World Amateur Team Championship.

The winner of each U.S. Amateur Championship and the McCormack Medal winners, if they are American, will also earn automatic selections.

Any remaining players for each team will be named by the International Team Selection Working Group upon the conclusion of the U.S. Women's Amateur and U.S. Amateur. 

The Women's World Amateur Team Championship will be held Aug. 24-27 at Le Golf National in Paris, France. The World Amateur Team Championship will be held at Le Golf National from Aug. 31-Sept. 3.
