Ewen Ferguson has been added to the 2015 Great Britain and Ireland Walker Cup Team after Sam Horsfield withdrew for personal reasons.

The 45th Walker Cup Match will be contested Sept. 12-13 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England.

Ferguson, 19, of Scotland, won the 2013 Boys Amateur Championship and became the first player to hold that title concurrently with the Scottish Boys Match Play and Scottish Boys Stroke Play trophies he won in 2014. Ferguson also won the Scottish Champion of Champions event and the Craigmillar Park Open this year, and achieved top-five finishes in the Irish Open Amateur and Scottish Stroke Play championships.

Horsfield, 18, of England, was a 2015 U.S. Open qualifier and he advanced to the Round of 32 in the recently completed U.S. Amateur at Olympia Fields (Ill.) Country Club. He also was a semifinalist in the 2014 U.S. Junior Amateur. He just began classes at the University of Florida, where he is a freshman. Horsfield was born in England, but moved to Florida when he was 5 years old.

With Ferguson added to the team, Bradley Moore, 17, of England is now the first alternate.
