The three-time LPGA Tour winner is set to make her 16th U.S. Women’s Open start. Kim’s first U.S. Women’s Open came as a 17-year-old at Pine Needles in 2001, when she tied for 50th. That same summer, she carded a 62 in the U.S. Girls’ Junior to earn medalist honors. The San Jose, Calif., native turned professional the following year after graduating from high school. Her first LPGA Tour win came in the 2004 Longs Drugs Challenge. Her last victory to date is the 2014 Lorena Ochoa Invitational in a playoff over Shanshan Feng. Kim owns six top-10s in major championships, including a tie for third in the 2009 Women’s British Open. Her best U.S. Women’s Open finish is a tie for eighth in 2010 at Oakmont Country Club. She has represented the USA in three Solheim Cups.
