The 2007 champion will get a chance to make her 25th start in the U.S. Women’s Open after being added to the field on Nov. 11. Kerr owns 28 worldwide victories, 20 of which have come on the LPGA Tour. That includes her 2007 U.S. Women’s Open triumph over Lorena Ochoa and Angela Park at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C. In 2010, Kerr added a second major title by claiming the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship by a whopping 12 strokes over Song-Hee Kim. Her last triumph on tour is the 2017 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. Kerr was the runner-up in 2000 at The Merit Club, finished third in 2011 at The Broadmoor, tied for third in 2009 at Saucon Valley Country Club, and tied for fourth in 2001 at Pine Needles. Born and raised in Miami, Fla., Kerr enjoyed a successful junior and amateur career and was selected to represent the USA in the 1996 Curtis Cup Match. Away from golf, Kerr has helped raise millions for breast cancer awareness as well as launching her own wine label.
