Torres will make her second consecutive U.S. Women’s Open start. The University of Florida graduate is still seeking her first professional victory. Her best finish in 11 starts on the LPGA Tour in 2020 is a tie for ninth in the Marathon LPGA Classic. In 2019, she finished 73rd on the money list after making 12 of 25 cuts. She turned professional in the fall of 2017 after a stellar college career at Florida in which she won five times. Torres advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2016 U.S. Women’s Amateur before falling to eventual runner-up Virginia Elena Carta, 3 and 1. She also represented Puerto Rico in the 2014 and 2016 Women’s World Amateur Team Championships.
