Tavatanakit, who tied for fifth in 2018 at Shoal Creek to earn low-amateur honors, will make her third U.S. Women’s Open start – and second as a professional. The 21-year-old turned professional in 2019 after two highly successful years at UCLA, where she posted seven victories and was a two-time first-team All-American. She then played the Symetra Tour in 2019, winning three times to claim the Gaelle Truet Award as the circuit’s rookie of the year. She finished second on the money list to earn her LPGA Tour card for the 2020 season. She led the Symetra Tour in scoring average (69.38), par-4 scoring average (3.93) and par-5 scoring average (4.58). Her best finish on the LPGA Tour in 2020 is a tie for ninth in the Marathon LPGA Classic.
