The native of Shrewsbury, Mass., was the runner-up in the weather-shortened 2017 Evian Championship, falling in a playoff to Anna Nordqvist. Her lone professional victory is the 2016 Guardian Retirement Championship on the Symetra Tour, a five-hole playoff decision over Nicole Broch Larsen. In 2019, Altomare represented the USA in the Solheim Cup in a season in which she made 26 of 26 cuts and finished 26th on the money list. As a collegian, she posted three victories for the University of Virginia and was the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year.
