Henderson, the Canadian Press female athlete of the year for 2015, 2017 and 2018, captured the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in 2016 for her lone major title. It is one of nine LPGA Tour victories for Henderson, whose last victory came in the 2019 Meijer LPGA Classic. She nearly claimed her second major in September at the ANA Inspiration, but lost in a three-way playoff to Mirim Lee. She also finished sixth in the KPMG Women’s PGA at Aronimink in early October. Henderson was the runner-up to Kristen Gillman in the 2014 U.S. Women’s Amateur. She also represented Canada in the Women’s World Amateur Team Championship in 2012 and 2014.
