Korda, the daughter of 1990 Australian Open tennis singles champion Petr Korda, is set to make her 13th U.S. Women’s Open start, with her best finish a tie for seventh in 2013 at Sebonack Golf Club. All five of Korda’s professional victories have come on the LPGA Tour, including the 2012 Australian Open. Her most recent victory is the 2018 Honda LPGA Thailand. As an amateur, Korda advanced to the championship match of the 2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur, falling to Danielle Kang. She also represented the USA in the 2010 Curtis Cup Match. Korda played in the 2006 Women’s World Amateur Team Championship for the Czech Republic, her parents’ home country, and for the USA in 2010. She was born in Bradenton, Fla. She also has represented the USA in two Solheim Cups (2013 and 2019). Her younger sister, Nelly, is a three-time LPGA Tour winner, and younger brother, Sebastian, won the 2018 Australian Open Junior Boys singles title.
