Yan tied for 22nd in the championship last year at the Country Club of Charleston. Yan played one year for the University of Washington before turning professional in 2014. In 2013, Yan won both the Girls’ British Open Amateur Championship and the Ladies’ British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship. She made five LPGA Tour starts as an amateur and didn’t miss a cut. She tied for 20th in the 2014 Evian Championship. Last year, she made 18 of 25 cuts and finished 40th on the LPGA Tour money list.
