Harigae has been making headlines since winning the first of four consecutive California Women’s Amateur titles at age 12 in 2001. The Monterey, Calif., native won the 2007 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links at age 17. She also was a semifinalist in the U.S. Girls’ Junior in 2003 and 2006. The 2008 USA Curtis Cup competitor spent one semester at Duke before turning professional. She owns seven professional victories, including three on the Symetra Tour. During the LPGA Tour’s hiatus due to COVID-19, Harigae posted four victories on the Cactus Tour in Arizona. This will be her 10th U.S. Women’s Open start and her first since 2015, which ended a streak of nine straight.
