3 Automatic USA Curtis Cup WAGR Selections Set for July 21

The three highest-ranked American players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking® / WAGR® as of the July 21 update will receive automatic exemptions from the USGA onto the 2021 USA Curtis Cup Team.

The 41st Curtis Cup Match against Great Britain & Ireland will be played at Conwy Golf Club, in North Wales, Aug. 26-28, 2021. The Match is played over three days with eight singles matches, six four-ball matches and six foursomes (alternate shot) matches. The USA leads the series that began in 1932, 29-8-3. 

The winner of the 2021 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, set to take place Aug. 2-8 at Westchester (N.Y.) Country Club, and the recipient of the 2021 McCormack Medal, should they be American, will also earn automatic spots onto the team, which will be captained by Sarah Ingram.  The remaining players will be selected following the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.
