LaHa, who just completed her sophomore year at Amador Valley High School, won’t have to travel far to compete in her first U.S. Women’s Open. The Pleasanton, Calif., native will also be the second-youngest player in the field at The Olympic Club, having just turned 16 in April. She earned the second and final qualifying spot in Novato, Calif., on May 3, shooting 7-under 137. That included a 5-under 67 in the afternoon round. This year, LaHa finished fifth in the Ping Heather Farr Classic and sixth in the Diamond Resorts Annika Invitational.
