Burnham will make her second U.S. Women’s Open start – and first as a professional – after shooting 2-under-par 142 to claim medalist honors on May 3 in Mendota Heights, Minn. A two-time Big 10 Player of the Year at Michigan State, Burnham, who turned pro in 2018, claimed the 2020 Michigan PGA Women’s State Open by 10 strokes, and added a pair of wins on the Cactus Tour in Arizona last year. She is the only Michigan State player to win the conference’s player of the year award multiple times. The Maple Grove, Minn., resident has competed on both the Symetra and LPGA tours the past three seasons.
