Feng became the first player from China -- male or female -- to capture a major championship with her two-stroke victory in the 2012 Wegmans LPGA Championship (now KPMG Women's PGA). She first came to the United States when she was 17 to attend a golf academy in Hilton Head, S.C., under the tutelage of Gary Gilchrist. This came after she won three consecutive China Women's Amateur titles (2004-06). In December of 2007, she survived the LPGA Tour's Qualifying School to earn her card for the 2008 season. Four years later, she won the Wegmans LPGA for the first of her 10 LPGA Tour titles. Her last victory is the 2019 Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, Feng did not play an LPGA Tour event in 2020.
