The Atlanta native will make her U.S. Women's Open debut after earning medalist honors at Fox Run Golf Club. Doherty posted a 36-hole total of 7-under-par 137 (70-67). In 2021, Doherty made 15 of 19 cuts on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour), including a runner-up finish in the IOA Golf Classic to finish seventh on the money list and earn LPGA Tour playing privileges for 2022. Graduated from Florida State in 2020 with a degree in sport management. Was a two-time captain for the Seminoles and was a Golfweek honorable-mention All-American in 2018. Qualified for four U.S. Women's Amateurs. Finished third in the 2019 Ladies National Golf Association Amateur.
