The four-time winner on the LPGA Tour of Japan will make her third consecutive U.S. Women's Open start thanks to her spot in the Rolex Rankings as of the close of entries on April 6. Nishimura posted three victories on the LPGA Tour of Japan in 2021, including the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup. Her first title came in the 2020 Mitsubishi Electric/Hisako Higuchi Ladies Golf Tournament. As an amateur, Nishimura was the runner-up in the 2018 Women’s Asia-Pacific Amateur. She was fifth in that same event in 2019. She also represented Japan in the 2018 Women’s World Amateur Team Championship.
