This came five years after she missed a 1-foot putt to win the ANA Inspiration, a championship she would eventually lose in a playoff. Kim did finish second to countrywoman Inbee Park in the 2013 U.S. Women's Open at Sebonack Golf Club. Kim owns 10 worldwide professional victories, seven of which have come on the LPGA Tour. She defeated Inbee Park in the final of the 2005 U.S. Girls' Junior.  A month later, she was the stroke-play medalist in the U.S. Women's Amateur. She turned pro in 2006 and posted her first LPGA Tour victory at the 2008 Longs Drugs Challenge.
