Korda, the daughter of 1990 Australian Open tennis singles champion Petr Korda, is set to make her 15th U.S. Women’s Open start, with her best finish a tie for seventh in 2013 at Sebonack Golf Club. All six of Korda’s professional victories have come on the LPGA Tour, including the 2012 Australian Open. Her most recent victory is the 2020 Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions in a playoff over Danielle Kang. As an amateur, Korda advanced to the championship match of the 2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur, falling to Kang. She also represented the USA in the 2010 Curtis Cup Match. Korda played in the 2006 Women’s World Amateur Team Championship for the Czech Republic, her parents’ home country, and for the USA in 2010. She was born in Bradenton, Fla. She also has represented the USA in three Solheim Cups (2013, 2019 and 2021). Her younger sister, Nelly, won the 2021 KPMG Women's PGA Championship and younger brother, Sebastian, won the 2018 Australian Open Junior Boys singles title.
