The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native will make her eighth U.S. Women's Open appearance after surviving a 5-for-3 playoff for the final spots at The Forest Country Club's Bear Course. Green posted a 36-hole total of 4-under-par 140 (72-68) in the 36-hole qualifier. She is still seeking her first professional win, although she has twice been the medalist in the finals of LPGA Tour Qualifying School (2013 and 2016). Green’s tie for fifth in the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open at the Country Club of Charleston (S.C.) was a career-best result in a major championship. Green was the runner-up to Lydia Ko in the 2012 U.S. Women’s Amateur at The Country Club in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She missed most of the 2020 season when she fractured her right elbow in a bike accident.
