Li, who at 11 years, 8 months and 19 days became the youngest qualifier in U.S. Women’s Open history in 2014, will play in her fourth U.S. Women’s Open – and second as a professional – after garnering medalist honors at El Macero Country Club, shooting a blistering 63 in the second of two rounds to post 7-under-par 137. Li shot a pair of 78s in 2014 to miss the cut. Li was the youngest match-play qualifier in U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links history at 10 years, 8 months, 16 days in 2013, surpassing Michelle Wie's record by 7 days. She also is the youngest U.S. Women’s Amateur qualifier (10 years, 10 months, 4 days), achieving that in August 2013. Li won the Girls 10-11 Division of the inaugural Drive, Chip & Putt Championship at Augusta National in 2014. In 2016, she captured the PGA Girls Junior Championship. In 2018, she helped the USA Curtis Cup Team to a 17-3 victory over Great Britain & Ireland at Quaker Ridge Golf Club. That same year, she was medalist in both the U.S. Girls’ Junior and U.S. Women’s Amateur. Li turned pro late in 2019 and has competed on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour). Still seeking her first win, Li has posted three top-10s in 2022, including a solo second in the Casino del Sol Golf Classic in Tucson, Ariz., in March. It was her second runner-up finish on the circuit.
