Ko has been the most consistent player in women's professional golf for the past three years, first rising to No. 1 in the Rolex Rankings in 2019, and the 26-year-old Korean currently sits in that position after posting seven LPGA Tour victories since the conclusion of the 2021 U.S. Women's Open. That list includes the 2021 CME Group Tour Championship. Ko owns a pair of major titles: the 2019 Chevron Championship (formerly the ANA Inspiration) and 2019 Amundi Evian Championship. On March 31, she saw her streak of 32 consecutive sub-par rounds end in the first round of the Chevron Championship. From 2014-17, Ko won 10 times on the LPGA of Korea Tour. When she won the 2017 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship, a co-sanctioned event with the LPGA Tour and KLPGA, Ko took up membership on the LPGA Tour for the 2018 season. Ko was the co-runner-up in the 2020 U.S. Women's Open at Champions Golf Club with Amy Olson, one stroke behind countrywoman A Lim Kim at Champions Golf Club.
