Kim will make her U.S. Women's Open debut after earning one of the four available spots at Morris County Golf Club, shooting 1-over-par 145 n in the 36-hole qualifier. The Stanford graduate owns one professional win, the 2018 Florida's Natural Charity Classic on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour). Finished T-16 in the LPGA Tour's Q Series last fall to regain her status on the circuit after making 6 of 12 cuts and finishing 121st on the money list in 2021. In 2015, she helped Stanford win the NCAA title. She also was named the Pacific-12 Conference's Scholar Athlete of the Year honor for the 2015-16 season. The Los Altos, Calif., native was a first-team Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American in 2014, 2015 and 2016. She graduated from Stanford in 2016 with a degree in science, technology and society. Her younger sister, Caris, also is a competitive golfer who currently plays for Princeton University. has qualified for multiple USGA championships. Lauren caddied for Caris at the 2018 U.S. Girls' Junior at Poppy Hills. Lauren Kim advanced to the Round of 16 of the 2014 U.S. Women's Amateur.
