Road to Pine Needles: Qualified at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai, Calif., on April 26
Johansson, an LPGA Tour rookie, qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open by shooting 7-under-par 137 (67-70) at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai, Calif., and then defeated Oregon State standout Ellie Slama in a playoff to garner the second and final spot. Still seeking her first professional win, but did have a pair of runner-up finishes on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour). Finished second behind Finland's Matilda Castren in the 2020 Mission Inn and Resort Championship and was second to Meghan McLaren in the 2021 Prasco Charity Classic. Played two seasons at NCAA Division II Nova Southeastern in Florida before transferring to Oklahoma State. In 2013 at Nova Southeastern, she was the Sunshine State Conference's Player of the Year. Represented Sweden five times in the European Ladies' Team Championship and twice represented her country in The Spirit International in Texas.
