Kinhult earned her second U.S. Open start by shooting a 36-hole total of 1-over-par 145 (70-75) at Morris County Golf Club to earn one of the available four spots. Kinhult earned her 2022 LPGA Tour card by tying for 26th in the Q Series in December. She finished fourth on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour) money list in 2020 to gain LPGA Tour privileges in 2021, but only made one start. She did make 14 of 20 cuts on the Symetra Tour. Her lone professional victory to date came in the season-ending Symetra Tour Championship in Davidson, N.C., in 2020. Prior to turning pro, Kinhult spent three semesters at Florida State, where she won three times and was named the 2019 Atlantic Coast Conference Freshman of the Year and shared the ACC Player of the Year award with Wake Forest’s Jennifer Kupcho. Kinhult spent three weeks as the No. 1 player in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking® in 2019. Her father, Mikael, is a teaching professional in Sweden and her brother, Marcus, is a member of the DP World Tour (formerly the European PGA Tour).
