The NCAA Division I women’s individual champion will now receive an exemption into the U.S. Women’s Open, beginning with the 2023 championship to be contested July 6-9 at Pebble Beach (Calif.) Golf Links. The NCAA champion must be an amateur to use the exemption.

In 2023, the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship will be held May 19-24 at Grayhawk Golf Club, in Scottsdale, Ariz. A similar exemption is being offered to the individual men’s champion for the U.S. Open.

“The USGA is pleased to offer this exemption for the U.S. Women’s Open,” said USGA Chief Championships Officer John Bodenhamer.

U.S. Women’s Open qualifying over 36 holes will be held in one stage beginning May 9.
