In the second week of March, the New England Regional Turfgrass Foundation will hold its 25th annual conference and show at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence. The event is returning to an in-person format after taking a year off because of COVID-19. Organizers have lined up an excellent group of speakers for this year’s event, which will run Tuesday through Thursday, March 8-10.
There are seminars geared for not only superintendents and their teams, but other professional turf managers and even an education track for equipment technicians. Topics will include:
- Annual bluegrass weevil management
- Benefits of fairway topdressing
- Cutting-unit setup
- Relief grinding pros and cons
- Strategies to reduce nutrient and pesticide use
- SDHI resistance in dollar spot
- Water movement in soils and soil surfactants
- Soil testing reports and interpretations
- 2022 U.S. Open preparations at The Country Club
So, take a break from the winter routine and bring your crew to the 2022 New England Regional Turfgrass Conference and Show. You can learn more details about the conference and register to attend by visiting the New England Regional Turfgrass Foundation homepage.
