Changing of the Seasons

There are many great opportunities for in-person education coming to the Southeast this fall and winter.

This week brings cold temperatures to much of the Southeast and with that, turfgrass will continue to lose green color and growth will slow to a crawl. If you haven’t already, you need to be thinking about all of the things that accompany cooler temperatures including large patch, spring dead spot, Poa annua management, leaf cleanup and winter management of warm-season grasses. Now is also the time to be thinking about the many educational opportunities coming up in the Southeast. Use these opportunities to learn about the latest research and strategies for turfgrass management from researchers, professors, superintendents and other industry experts. While there are many conferences and annual meetings coming up throughout the Southeast, I look forward to seeing you at the following events:

In-person education is important for networking and learning from others. It can also be a lot of fun! The Southeast offers some of the very best conferences and annual meetings in the country, including next year’s GCSAA Conference and Trade Show. If you cannot attend these events in person or are looking for additional resources online, here are some of my favorite sources for timely updates to help you get ready for fall and winter in the Southeast:
