Jeehae Lee

Director of Business Strategy, Topgolf

Former LPGA pro Jeehae Lee serves as director of business strategy at Topgolf, a global sports entertainment leader. Jeehae leads the company’s pursuit of new audiences across a variety of instructional and brand-building programs.

While earning a BA in economics at Yale, Jeehae led the women’s golf team to victory in the Ivy League Championships in 2003 and 2006. She also has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Playing professionally from 2007 to 2011, she competed in up to 25 tournaments per year, procured a sponsorship with Cobra Puma Golf and developed a large social media following.

Jeehae previously worked with IMG, holding roles in both Singapore and later New York City. With IMG, Jeehae planned and managed events, served as a player liaison at the HSBC Women’s Champions, and implemented more than 20 activations for sponsors including Nike Golf, Kia Motors and Omega while working with LPGA golfer Michelle Wie.

As director of business strategy, Jeehae provides strategic direction to Topgolf’s revenue-generating departments. Jeehae forms partnerships with companies, governing bodies and influencers in the golf industry to complement, build and grow platforms that impact Topgolf’s bottom line and overall brand.

Jeehae identifies, reaches and expands new audiences for both Topgolf and the game of golf. One of the ways Jeehae has done this is by reinvigorating the company’s instruction program, Topgolf U. Through Topgolf U, Jeehae has built excitement for golf among women, children, millennials and traditionally disengaged audiences, while increasing revenue.

She also has shaped and implemented The Topgolf Tour, a new sports league built on Topgolf’s game technology and venues across the nation. Through this national – and eventually global – competition series, Topgolf will produce sports and entertainment content for its fans, who may or may not currently engage in traditional golf content.
