BJ DeLong

Director, Data and Technology for USNDP

BJ DeLong is a director for the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) at the United States Golf Association. In this role, he is responsible for setting the data and technology strategy, focusing on talent identification and evaluation, athlete and parent resources, development, education as well as USNDP’s grant program.

In the 10 years at the USGA prior to joining USNDP, BJ spent five years as Project Manager in the technology department and five years supporting World Handicapping System (and GHIN) as director of USGA data services.

  • Born and raised in New Jersey; now resides in Cranford, N.J., with his wife, Jennifer, two children and two goldendoodles.

Favorite Golf Memory:

  • Co-Founder of a friendly weekly summer golf league he has been operating since 2009 and continues to grow every year

Funniest Golf Memory:

  • During my career-best round score of 80, I only hit the ball 79 times; I swung and completely missed a ball mid round, so close to breaking 80
