Chris Tanabe 

Team Coordinator, USNDP

Chris Tanabe serves as the Team Coordinator for the United States Golf Association’s National Development Program (USNDP). In this role, Chris supports and helps execute key functions across USNDP programs, including the National Junior Team, Elite Amateur Program and State Team Program, while also contributing to player relations efforts.

Prior roles:

• Professional Golfer, 2022-2024
• Two-time team captain of the Bucknell men’s golf team, 2019-2021

Education:

• Bucknell University – B.A. Economics and Spanish

• University of Maryland – M.S. Business and Management

Family:

• Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa.; now lives in Budd Lake, N.J.
• Chris has three brothers: Alex, Michael and Adam; and parents Jennifer and Scott.

Favorite Travel Destination:

• Italy and Scotland

Favorite Golf Memory:

• Shooting 28 on the front nine of Aronimink Country Club in suburban Philadelphia enroute to winning the 2019 Pennsylvania Amateur.

Funniest Golf Memory:

• Spent 5 minutes looking for my ball on a par-3 that featured a blind tee shot only to find my ball in the hole!
