Chris Zambri

Head Coach, USNDP

Chris Zambri is responsible for identifying, recruiting and coaching the athletes brought into the U.S. National Development Program. As the head coach of the U.S. National Teams, Chris will oversee international competition schedules, intercountry matches and training sessions and camps. He will also build and oversee a team of coaches and high-performance managers who will work with athletes throughout all levels of the program.

  • Born and raised near Los Angeles, Calif. (Attended Westlake High School) Married to Kim, sons Wyatt and Joey (fifth-year senior golfer at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo), daughter Laney

  • Qualifying and playing in the 1995 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club with my brother on my bag and my family walking along

Funniest Golf Memory:

  • I was playing an extremely small one-day mini-tour event that happened to be close to my hometown.  My wife went into labor with our second child while I was playing.  Pre-cell phone days, she got a message to the tour operator to pass along the following news to me: your wife is in labor, meet her at the hospital after the round (we needed the money)
