Elliott Dowling is the Regional Director of the East Region for the USGA Green Section's Course Consulting Service. He earned his bachelor’s degree in horticulture with an emphasis in turfgrass management from Iowa State University, and his master’s degree in turfgrass management from Penn State University. Based in western Massachusetts, Elliott is focused on helping golf facilities maintain better playing conditions through on-site visits, educational outreach, and research throughout New England and New York.
Before joining the USGA, Elliott was golf course superintendent at Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville, Ill. He was also the superintendent at the Ivanhoe (Ill.) Club and an assistant superintendent at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., in addition to holding golf course internships in Illinois, Colorado and California.
